The ancient Chinese practice of acupuncture originated more than 3,000 years ago to relieve pain and treat disease — and it’s still going strong.

A study by the National Center for Complementary and Integrative Health found that in 2008, 8 million Americans said they had tried acupuncture, but by 2012, 14 million had tried it.

CGTN’s Xianghang Wang interviewed Evan Rabinowitz, who has been practicing acupuncture for more than 20 years. Learn more about the theory and art behind this traditional Chinese practice.
